How We Work
Every project begins with a design consultation: a chance for us to get to know you, understand your goals, and guide you toward the right build team if needed. We’ll walk you through our design process, explain our fee structure, and answer any other questions you may have.

Conceptual Design
After your initial consultation, we begin shaping your home with thoughtful space planning and a deep understanding of the principles of design. This early phase is where floor plans, materials, and furnishings begin to tell the story of your space. The conceptual design phase culminates in a presentation at our Race Street Studio, where you’ll experience your vision brought to life through curated samples and selections tailored just for you.
Design Details
Once the conceptual design is approved, we move into the detailed design phase.
This phase includes creating precise drawings and specifications to ensure every element is clearly communicated to you and your build team. We'll review finish samples together on-site and remain available to your contractor throughout construction to help everything run smoothly. Behind the scenes, we’ll finalize all furnishings, down to each custom detail, so your home comes together beautifully, just as envisioned.
Project Execution
As a full-service interior design firm, Modern Menagerie manages every detail from procurement to installation. We handle all furniture purchasing, coordinate with our trusted vendors and trades, track shipments to our white-glove receivers, and resolve any issues along the way. When it’s time for installation, we orchestrate every element so your home is completely ready to enjoy.
